Video Excerpts of Live Drum Lessons 6 - More drum rudiments

By Jim | July 19, 2009

Post number 6 in this series of Actual Live drum lessons with real actual beginner drum students. They are off camera and their voices have been removed to protect their privacy, but you can hear their playing and see my teaching.

This particular lesson focusses on the single stroke four, and the four stroke ruff - two extremely similar drum rudiments.

This clip is not podcasted - I hosted them on youtube only - but you can see them here. If you REALLY want to get into absolute detail with rudimental drumming technique, I suggest you check out www.sticktechnique.com.

As usual drummers - Yours for better drumming.

Hi, thanks for sharing this video clip. I do enjoy watching live rehearsals, tutorials and videos like this. Aside from the fact that I found them more interactive, viewers or audiences can get what they think they need and want to learn - seeing them in front of their own two eyes. I love getting the specific and absolute details of each music teaching lesson as well as of each technique being discussed and expressed in the video. Continue sharing these resources for music teachers. Again, thanks and more power!
